Washington D.C. - On Monday, June 7, 2004, the Wildlife Center of Virginia received the coveted 21st Century Achievement Award from the Computerworld Honors Program for visionary use of information technology in the category of Environment, Energy & Agriculture.

Harrisonburg VA - The Wildlife Center of Virginia has been awarded the 2004 Shenandoah Valley Technology Council CIT Innovative Technology Application Award

The Wildlife Center of Virginia has been named a Finalist in the Environment, Energy and Agriculture category of Computerworld Honors 21st Century Achievment Awards

Mr. John Chambers, CEO of Cisco Systems, has nominated Wildlife Center's "online teaching and training programs" for inclusion in "A Search for New Heroes", the online archive of the Computerworld Honors Program, which designates us as a Computerworld Honors Laureate, and makes us eligible for consideration for the Programs 21st Century Achievement Award in the Environment, Energy, and Agriculture Category. Our use of technology becomes a permanent case study for others, and will be accessible in libraries, museums and universities worldwide, and on the Internet.
